Electrocuted...

Salam and hello dearies!

It's nothing. I just got electrocuted just now. I just finished taking shower when I touch the light switch because well, I wanna switch off the light. Then, bzzzz!!!! It was less than 5 seconds but I think it gave me quite a shock. Huhuhu. Luckily I managed to take my finger off the switch. But until now I can feel the twitch on my finger. Plus my heart beats slightly faster than normal. Hmmm...

Beauty Tutorial: Korean Skincare Routine Part 2

Salam and hello dearies!

Okay, this is the second part of Korean Skincare Routine. Please read it because this routine may help to maintain your skin from ageing before time. Hehehe...

Step 5: Essence

In Korea and Japan, treatment essence is considered as the most important part in maintaining skin health. Unlike European treatment essence which has liquidy consistency, Korean and Japanese treatment essence is almost like a plain water (imagine SK II essence). The essence has smaller molecules than moisturiser or serum which helps the skin to absorb the benefits faster in to the skin cells. Trust me, by adding treatment essence in your daily routine can help you skin a lot. My personal favourite essence is The Face Shop Smim Fermentation Treatment Essence. This essence has almost similar composition as SK II but with a cheaper price. I really love this product. I can see the difference in my skin after using it for a week (I will update on my progress).

Step 6: Ampoule (a.k.a Serum)

Unlike treatment essence, ampoule a.k.a serum has liquidy consistency. Serum contains high concentration of certain active ingredients and each ingredient may focus on specific skin problem. For example, if you want a bright skin, you may choose ampoule that contains Vitamin C, or if you want to reduce your fine lines, you can choose ampoule with hyaluronic acid. When applying the ampoule on your face, you can mix the ampoules together and make a cocktail serum. These combinations can serve you skin problems at the same time. Right now I'm using Nature Republic Snail Treatment Ampoule and also The Body Shop Nutriganics Drops of Youth. Seriously, they are amazing.

Step 7: The Sheet Masks (twice per week)

Wearing sheet masks is like a weekly activities that Korean do a lot (I watched many K-Dramas). In Korea, there are many brands that sell sheet masks, hydrogel masks and so on. These masks have different ingredients just like ampoule. By wearing face mask twice a week, it can help to boost your skin health and beauty. This is because, face masks force your skin to absorb the nutrients before they dry. I have more than 100 pieces of face masks right now and these are from different brands and ingredients. I use face mask at least twice per week in order to maintain my skin (I have acne prone skin). Oh, other than face mask, there are also eye, lips and chin masks.

Step 8: Eye Cream

Due to workload and too much staring at the computer or handphone screen, it can cause your eyes to get tired easily. When your eyes are tired, it will cause a dark circle and puffiness around your eyes. It's not a good sign and can make you look older. Huhuhu. So, don't forget to apply eye cream twice a day. It is important for you to use the right technique when applying the eye cream. Put a drop of eye cream on your index finger and gently tap the cream around your eyes. REMEMBER, don't use the slide motion because it can cause your eyes to sag even more. Just tap lightly. I'm currently using The Face Shop Chia Seed Watery Eye Spot. This product is good to retain the moisture around my eyes.

Step 9: Moisturiser

Well, were are almost there. Hehehe. Next you can apply moisturiser on your skin. Moisturiser acts like a water bank on your skin. It helps to maintain your skin moisture so that even if you are exposing under the sun, your skin will not lose its moisture easily. As for me, I prefer moisturiser that has water based rather than oil based. This is because, it will not make my skin feel oily and cakey after I apply make up. My personal choice is The Face Shop Chia Seed Watery Lotion. It absorbs easily and my skin doesn't even feel anything after applying it.

Step 10: Night Cream

Just like moisturiser, night cream acts to maintain your skin moisture when you sleep at night. Usually, night cream also has the ingredients that can help to repair and renew your skin after all the exposure.

Step 11: Sleeping Mask

Okay, I promise this is the last step. Hehehe... This is the additional step that will do good to your skin. Unlike other masks, you apply sleeping mask at the end of your skincare routine which is right before you go to sleep. I'm still not sure the function of applying sleeping mask but my personal favourite is The Face Shop Raspberry Roots Sleeping Mask. This mask smells nice. I love it.

Alright, that's all. If you follow these steps (including the Part 1 too), I can ensure you your skin will be glowing and stay beautiful like the Korean actresses. The key to have a good skin is not be lazy. It may cost you some time to used to it but I'm sure it will be worth it.

p/s ~ I've been following these steps for almost two weeks now and I can see the difference in my skin.

pp/s ~ I have a lot of The Face Shop products because I used to like the brand ambassador, Kim Hyun Joong. Hihihi...

Backpacking Mode

Salam and hello dearies!

Ahhh... I seriously need a short vacation right now. Ever since I came back from UK for good last 2010, I've never had a vacation overseas at all. Yes! Almost 5 years. Huuuu... it's so sad. If I could just pack my bag and leave for a vacay, that'll be great. Unfortunately, I have many responsibilities and I can't just leave whenever I want. I'm so jealous at people who have the freedom to travel whenever they want. Huhuhu...

My dream is to travel around the world. As a single lady, I think this is the right time to travel and enjoying my life. It's not like married ladies can't go travelling. It's just the responsibilities as a married lady may make travelling seems like a burden, not excitement. Well, not all may feel the same way but still, it'll be more enjoyable to travel when you're single. Unless you children are all grown up then that'll be okay. Hehehe...

There are many places that I hope one day I'll visit. On top of my list is Korea, Japan and UK again. Of course Mecca is the first place that I want to visit because it's the most beautiful place in the world. Huhuhu. I love to learn other cultures and lifestyle. Because I think learning other cultures is helping people to achieve peace and toleration (I will be a good UN ambassador... hehehe).

Insya Allah, I will work until I can achieve my dreams. I think the key of happiness is to enjoy my life. I don't want to stress my brain and feeling with my work, studies and what other think of me. I just need to focus on myself. It's not self-centred but independent. Okay, here are some of my photos when I was in UK. I really miss those moments. I can't tell you how much I miss it. Huhuhu...

Beauty Tutorial: Korean Skincare Routine Part 1

Salam and hello dearies!

Have you ever wonder how Korean celebrities (regardless male of female) have flawless skin? I've always envy at their flawless skin. Every time I watch Korean dramas, I look closely to their face and as I expected, there is no single pimple or flaw on their faces. How can even possible? Look at these Korean actresses below. I purposely took their photos with less make up to prove my point (not an editorial or photoshoot photo).

Song Hye Kyo - she's known for her natural beauty.

Park Shin Hye - she's been acting since young and her face doesn't change.

Kim So Eun - flawless face!

Then I did my research. Hehehe... I found that Koreans really take a good care of their skin. They have about 10 STEPS to ensure their skin are fully moisturised and pampered. Huhuhu. They even do these steps TWICE a day! Gosh! I think it will take me a long time to get ready if I really follow the steps. But, for the sake of my face and the possibility to have a flawless skin, I'm willing to follow these steps twice a day, everyday (so I need to wake up early apparently). Huhuhu...

Step 1: Removing the Make Up

This is a the most important step of all because if you don't remove your make up properly, it can cause your pores to clog and produce pimples. It's not good, right? During this step, it is important for you to choose the right make up remover. The best make up remover is oil-based remover. The oil helps to melt the make up easily and at the same time moisturise your skin. Don't use cotton pads during this process. Just use your fingertips and massage your face gently in circular motion. My two favourite make up removers are Etude House Real Art Cleansing Oil and The Face Shop Rice Water Bright.

Please excuse the grammar. Hehehe...

Step 2: Cleansing

After you remove your make up, it's time to wash your face. For this process, you can use any type of cleanser that suits your skin type. Either a cream or gel type, both work well as long as you use it accordingly. Similarly to the first step, you need to massage your face in circular motion using your fingertips. This process is believed can help to improve your blood circulation and thus help to brighten your skin too! Hehehe... Oh, I've watched a video about cleanser before. In the video, the dermatologist mentions that you don't have to spend so much money on cleanser because it will not be absorbed into your skin. Just buy a normal one that suits your skin.

Step 3: Exfoliate (1/2 per week)

Every day our skin renew the cells and the dead cells sometimes don't come off easily. That's why we need to exfoliate out skin at least once a week. By exfoliatting our face, we can remove the dead skins, dirts and clogs easily. However, the most important thing is to choose the right exfoliator. Don't choose the one with harsh chemicals that can make your skin thinner. Select the natural option one. My personal favourite exfoliator is from Tony Moly Floria Brightening Peeling Gel. This exfoliator is not only remove my dead skins but also helps to brighten my skin too. I really love it.

Step 4: Toner

The next step is toner. Before this, I wasn't really aware that toner is crucial in making my skin stays healthy and glowing. Yes I'm used to apply toner on my skin after cleansing because my mum asked me to. I think that's why my skin still look radiant until now. Hehehe... Okay, why is important to use toner? According to Today.com, toner helps to shrink pores, makes your skin pH balance, add a layer of protection from impurities and contaminations, moisturise your skin, helps to prevent ingrown hair and at the same time can refresh your skin too. But make sure to choose the right toner. My personal selection so far are The Face Shop Chia Seed Water 100 and Etude House Moistfull Collagen Facial Freshner. These toners help to lock the moisture perfectly well.

That's all for today. Insya Allah I will continue tomorrow. Hihihi

My New Muse - Lee Sang Yoon

Salam and hello dearies!

I'm a big fan of Korean dramas (K-dramas). I love the storyline, cultures, language but the most important thing that I love about K-dramas is the super duper handsome actors. Hehehe... Well, watching handsome men in dramas is something that I enjoy all the time.

This time, my latest muse is Lee Sang Yoon. Before this I like to watch young actors and K-pop groups but since I'm getting mature (not old, k!), I prefer mature actor. Hehehe... I didn't notice him before although I have a few dramas starred by him in my laptop. It was until I watched Liar Game (Korean version) when I noticed his good looking face. Muahaha...

Then I started to download his other dramas like other fan girls. I watched Angel Eyes (2014) and now Jung Yi, the Goddess of Fire (2013). Since I also like period drama, Jung Yi is the best drama to make me drool even more over him. Seriously! What I like about him is not just because of his obvious good look, but also his dimple and smile wrinkles at his eyes. So sexy, like Hugh Grant but Korean version (because Hugh Grant is sexy too). Hihihi...

As a typical fan girl, let me splurge my blog with Lee Sang Yoon's photos for you to see. Muahaha...

Y so cute?

Argh!!!

 Stop smiling!

No, please smile...

 cheeky...

 Again, arghhh!!!!

I'm dying now...

Okay, please bear with me. Since I'm still single, it's will harm nobody. Muahaha... I can't wait for his next drama which will come out at the end of this month. Stay strong, Hanis.

30 Days No Rice Challenge

Salam and hello dearies!

Okay, I'm really desperate to lose weight now. Huhuhu. Ever since I gained a lot of weight, most of my clothes are now getting tight. I look awful and I don't really feel confident any more. I don't feel comfortable in my clothes and this feeling is not good for my self esteem. So, I have decided to challenge myself with a new challenge, which is 30 Days No Rice Challenge. This time around, I will make sure that I will complete this challenge successfully.

In this challenge, I will try to avoid from eating rice for 30 days. It can be quite challenging because well, rice is my main food. Last time, during my glory diet years, I managed to reduce my rice intake. But once I stopped dieting, it seems like I can't stop from eating rice. So I think this is the best challenge for me to do right now as a kick start.

My target for this challenge is to avoid from eating rice for at least 25 days. Why not the whole 30 days? Since this is the first month, I don't want to force my body. It may cause me to overindulge which will make me to gain more. So I will take it easy first. I make take up to 5 cheat days. However, once I'm used to not eat rice, I may continue the challenge until I achieve my target weight. Huhuhu...

BTW, I've started the challenge today. Hehehe. But my body is so weak right now. Plus I have a course today and this make me feel extra weak. Hmm. In order for me to gain energy, I replace rice with oats. I make my favourite porridge but instead of using rice, I used oats. It tasted the same. Hehehe... (I'm really good at cooking porridge).

Oh, I will also start my 30 Days without Sugary Drinks too. This is my biggest weakness. I can't seem to avoid sugary drinks especially ice blended such as Cool Blog, Chatime and Tea Bag. These are my kryptonite. So, these challenges start simultaneously.

I will update on my progress for these challenges. I hope that I can keep complete the challenges with flying colours. I MUST complete them. Huhuhu... or else I will stay fat like this. Huuuu...

This photo makes me drool (T_T)

A Birthday Present for Me

Salam and hello dearies!

As a birthday present to myself and something to console me after two tragedies that happened to me last month, I bought a new Fossil watch!!!! I've been aiming to buy this watch ever since I saw my friend wore it for the first time. It's quite big but the straps are quite thin. Whatever, I really like it.

My friend bought it from a Fossil boutique in Sunway Pyramid. It costed her about RM600++. Wow! It's quite expensive. However, I know where can I find the same watch for a lesser price. Hehehe. Of course from the Internet!

So last few days I saw this seller made a discount for this watch. I immediately whatsapped her and booked the watch. It was a good bargain. I bought it for RM385 only! Yes, almost half of the price that my friend paid from the boutique. I know, people may think is it really authentic? Yes of course because the seller bought it directly from the US. That's why she can sell it for a cheaper price.

How does it look like? Here are the photos.

The tin casing

 Tadaaa...

 I looovvveeee the colour

 Close up...

I bought it because I love the colour. I hope the bright orange colour may brighten my dull days. Hehehe... I love my new watch. Isn't it worth my money?

I'm 27 Now

Salam and hello dearies!

Sorry for the long silence. Hehehe. Well, I need some time to start a new phase of my life (cewah!). I think the new phase starts NOW!

Today is my birthday, 1st August. I'm officially 27 years old now. Wow! I can't believe that I'm 27 already. Fuhh... Throughout 27 years I've live in this world, there are countless moments (good, and bad) I've experienced where some will remain in my mind for the rest of my life. My sweet memories and bad experiences that can help me to be stronger and wiser than before. Hehehe...
