30 Days Weight Loss Challenge

Salam and hello dearies

This year, I have decided to lose my weight. I think since I've been working, I gained a lot of weight. Well, due to workloads, less time to workout and I have my own money and car, I often go and eat at fancy restaurants for the past 3 years. This year, I'm going to change. I think if I don't start now, I will keep on adding my weight. Huhuhu...

So, today I just started my 30 days weight loss challenge. Today I skipped for 20 minutes, do 3 sets of weight lifting and 30 minutes of static cycling. Well, I think it's quite good for starter. I also took some supplements before and after workout. These supplements help to boost my fat burning and also help to repair my muscle. What is the name of the supplements? Herbalife? Shaklee? Nope and nope. Huhuhu... I will reveal the supplements' name on my 30th day. Hehehe...

After my workout, I only drink a glass of protein shake (from the same brand of my supplements). The shake is super yummy and I felt so full after I finished the whole glass. Fuh. Protein shake is good as a meal replacement because protein helps to build muscles. Muscles are needed to burn fat faster.

Okay, I will update more on my weight loss progress. This time around, I will not stop until I achieve my ideal weight. Insya Allah.

p/s - I'm quite sore right now. My muscles are aching and I'm in so much pain! Huaaaa....

9gag Wednesday: The 3 C's of Life

Salam and hello dearies

I think most of you may be familiar with 9gag. If you're not familiar, you should start 9gaging. OMG, 9gag is so fun especially if you want to relax, laugh a little bit and reduce stress. It's the one of the best therapies but the least expensive one (because it's free). Just download the 9gag app in the Play Store or Apple Store. What I like about 9gag is it's not only for laugh, it also has some information, motivation, quotations and valuable inspirations. Another thing, 9gag is full with memes, rage comics and country balls. That's why I LOVE 9gag. Plus, the 9gag community is like one big family from around the world. *hugs 9gaggers*

So here is one motivational post that I read from 9gag. Everyone needs to use the 3 C's. In order for you to be better, you need to take chances, make the right choice and change your life. That's all that it takes.

Review Tuesday: E.L.F Brush Collection

Salam and hello dearies

Okay, for today's make up review, I want to talk about the E.L.F Brush Collection. E.L.F stands for eyes, lips, face and not elf the fictional creature. Hehehe. Okay, as you all probably know, using make up brushes is good because they help to distribute your make up evenly on your face. As the result, your make up will look more natural, not too flaky and too thick.

The thing about make up brushes, they have different types, shapes and sizes. Each brush serves as different purpose than another. If you use different brush for different product, the make up may not stick or look well on your face. Because of their differences, sometimes it can be quite difficult for the ladies to differentiate them especially to those who just started to use make up brushes. But no worries ladies, your problem will be solved easily if you have the E.L.F Brush Collection.

What are in the set?

There are 10 brushes which are:

Blush Brush - The tailored design allows for easy maneuvering and precise colour application. Use to apply blush or bronzer

Foundation Brush - Achieve an ultra smooth, pore-less finish when applying foundation or tinted moisturizer.

Brow Comb & Brush - The brow comb works as the expert clipping tool to obtain perfect brow length. The brow brush sets brow shape and softens hair texture.

Eyelash & Brow Wand - Works as a dual purpose tool to define and comb lashes for clump-free mascara and to expertly groom and shape brows into place.

Eyeliner Brush - Refined, gentle brush tip perfectly reaches the inner and outer lash line. Works in harmony with wet or dry formulations.

Concealer Brush - Create flawless and smooth application with the synthetic bristled brush for wet or dry products. Conceal blemishes, red spot and darkness with precision treatment.

Eyeshadow Brush - Apply eye make up evenly and easily without streaks or creases. Perfect for blending colour and creating definition.

Smudge Eye Sponge - Create a dramatic, smoky eye with this soft tapered applicator that blend liner and shadow perfectly.

Lip Defining Brush - This soft tapered brush is ideal for lip colour application and for softening lip pencil lines, creating a professional look ever time.

Total Face Brush - Soft caressing facial bristles allow for soothing application of face and bronzing powder and for quick full-face touch ups.

All e.l.f. Professional make up brushes have been designed and tested by our professional team of make up artists. Each brush has been ergonomically designed to fit perfectly into your hand and facilitates a flawless finish with every application.

Plus Factors

One thing that I like the most about this collection is the brushes have the specification written on it. I think it will be a lot easier to differentiate the brushes then. The brushes also made from synthetic materials (not from animals hair or fur) and free from animal testing. When I applied the make up using the brushes, the make up sticks very well (I didn't take the photos - sorry!)

Total Face Brush a.k.a Powder Brush

Foundation brush

Minus Factors

The only thing that I regret about it is the brushes only come in a box. The box was quite brittle and I had to put some tape at the edge of the box. I think since it's a collection, they should give a pouch so that it'll be easier to carry them around.

Overall Review

I think this collection is good as a starter for the beautiful ladies out there. The materials of the brushes are great and they are also cheap. Plus the collection is complete from eyebrows to lips. I really recommend this collection.

Just My Another Ramble

Salam and hello dearies

Today is my first day of work after my holiday. OMG, I was super tired today right after I came back from work. Well, during the holiday I used to wake up late *wink* and now I need to wake up early in the morning. To be honest, I'm not a morning person. I'm more like stay-up-late person. Because during midnight, my brain works wonderfully. Hehehe...

So, I really hope that my work doesn't stop me from writing and updating my blog. I really love to write and my blog is really important to me. I will do my best to write the best.

p/s - I've always wonder what my life would be like if I'm not working and just be a full time blogger and entrepreneur? Insya Allah, one day it will happen.

Informative Monday: Coffee to Reduce Cellulite

Salam and hello dearies

So for my first Informative Monday entry, I have this amazing info that I believe most women will like it. After I do a lot of YouTube video walking, I found a lot of videos about the use of coffee to reduce weight and cellulite. So I think it's kind of interesting to write about this is my blog since I also have cellulite (no need to be ashamed here) and I really want to get rid of it. Hehehe...

Why coffee?

Coffee has been known for its many benefits. It contains antioxidants and caffeine which are used in many cosmetics as cellulite cream. Coffee can help to tighten the skin and promotes blood circulation too. Plus, the smell of coffee is super yummy and it can help to relax too.

How to use coffee to reduce cellulite?

One of the easiest ways to use coffee is by making it as body scrub. There are many recipes that can be used to make coffee body scrub. It depends on the individual. You can mix the coffee with different essential oils and ingredients too.

Insya Allah for my DIY Friday entry, I will show you the easiest way to make your own coffee body scrub. It will not cost you a lot. Plus, I think it's a lot cheaper than buying from shops or spas. Hihihhi...

Throwback: Big Bad Wolf 2014

Salam and hello dearies

Have you ever heard of Big Bad Wolf (BBW)? Not the bad wolf from the story Little Red Riding Hood but this 'bad' wolf that sells the CHEAPEST books, novels and magazines in Malaysia. Last December, I had the opportunity to go to the BBW. OMG! It was the best. BBW has beed started I think since 2011 (if I'm not mistaken). Before this, there is no other book festival that sells books with the lowest price ever. Huhuhuhu...

The BBW started on the 5th December, 2014. I went to BBW on the first day itself. My friend insisted to go early in the morning because she wanted to buy the Harry Potter set. Yes, both of us went to the festival at 7 am! To our surprised, the Harry Potter sets were SOLD OUT already. Really???

I went to BBW thrice. The first two trips were on the first day itself (with my friend and sister) and the third trip was on the Thursday (alone). I think I spend almost RM400 for the whole trips. I bought a lot of books, novels especially, note books, self-help books, magazines and recipes book. I really love this festival.

Here are some of the photos that I have taken during my whole trips.

A lot of people on the first night

 Clear signs for different sections

I was excited for the Hello Kitty book

 Selfie!

 Another selfie...

 Ready to pay...

 Look at the lines

 Yeay!

The books that I chose on my third trip

Yes, this time they provided basket-trolleys

My third trip selfie

Fuh! After I dreamt on going for so long, finally I went to the BBW, thrice! Hihihi... I hope that this festival will continue in the future. I may not go again (because I need to finish reading all of the books that I bought first) but this event is good to encourage Malaysians to read especially to read English materials.

Amazing Places to go before I Die

Salam and hello dearies

I want to travel all over the world. That's one of the dreams that I want to do before I die. Insya Allah.  Alhamdulillah, based on all of the major cities listed above, I have visited two cities which are London and Sofia (Istanbul). I visited these two cities when I was studying in the UK. Well actually I have visited a lot of cities and countries but they are not in the list above. Other cities and countries that I have visited were the UK (Plymouth, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol & Penzance)Ireland (Dublin, Galway & Belfast), Brunei and Indonesia (Jakarta & Bandung)

What I love about travelling is I can experience other cultures, architectures and also their FOOD! Duh! When I was in Istanbul, I met many friendly people (they like Malaysians - we were like celebrities because they wanted to take photos with us. Hehehe...), the original Baklava, rose honey, apple tea, fish bread (the best one), went to Europe and Asia in a day (just cross the bridge) and went to visit historical places like Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, Sultan Mehmed's castle and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's castle.

We were passing by and saw these newlyweds and their families taking photos and they were like calling us and asked to join them too - super friendly!

These medical students were REALLY insisted to take a photo with us!

Hehehe... I think travelling is really fun and can help to create wonderful memories and experiences that we might not experience in our own place. I cherish every moment that I ever had during my travelling years. I really hope that I can continue to travel. Insya Allah I will start my travelling journey this year.

So, here are some of the interesting places that I ever visited. BTW, I was a student back then so I didn't wear too much make up. Hehehe...

Cruising the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul

One of the castles in Galway, Ireland

Anfield Stadium (Liverpool FC), Liverpool

Birmingham

London!

Ahhh, I really miss those places. Insya Allah, I will try my best to further my studies in the UK back. My phd perhaps? Hehehe...

p/s - which country or city that you wish to visit?

Hanis' Tips - Eat Healthy Breakfast

Salam and hello dearies

Okay, this year I will start a new section for my personal tips, Hanis' Tips. Hmm basically most of the tips will come from me or adapted from other people. These tips serve as guidelines or extra info for all of you. Hehehe...

This year, one of my resolutions is to lose weight. So, one of the ways to lose weight is by eating healthy breakfast. I know Malaysia is known for the glorious food and it can be a challenge for a Malaysian like me to avoid our yummy food. BUT, if I don't change now, when am I going to lose weight? Hmmm...

Why do I need breakfast?

"Eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a prince; and dinner like a pauper"

Breakfast is important because it's the first meal that we take after our stomach has been fasting when we sleep. We also need energy in order to do our daily routines properly. So, if we don't take a proper breakfast, we will not have enough energy to run our life. Plus, if we skip breakfast, we will over-indulge during lunch and thus cause us to gain weight. Yikes!

What should I eat for breakfast?

The most important thing to keep in mind is not to take food that have many calories in the morning. Food like nasi lemak, roti canai, mi goreng and so on should be avoided due to high calories, oil (fats), sodium (salt & seasoning) and carbohydrates. Instead, we should take food that are high in protein and fiber like oats, eggs, milk and fruits. Food that contains high protein and fiber help to make us feel full longer.

Examples

 Oatmeal
 Omelette
 Whole grain toast
 Fruits (green apples & oranges)
 Oat porridge

These are examples of high protein and fiber food that we should take during breakfast. However, we must not take more than we should. Another thing, don't ruin your healthy meal by adding sugar in it. Like if you're have toast, spread it with peanut butter instead of jam; or if you're having oatmeal, add dried fruits like raisins instead of sugar. Remember, sugar = calories!

Okay, I hope this tips will help you start your day. Remember, eat breakfast!

Till I write again!

Stay Fabulous.

Make Up Review: Urban Decay - Naked on the Run

Salam and hello dearies

Are you always on the go? Do you have trouble carrying all of your make up? Do you also have trouble finding your make up in you handbag? (I do have problem finding things in my bag even when I use the smallest handbag ever!).

Where are my make up????

If you answered YES to all of the questions above, I have a solutions for you. Introducing my new favourite make up set from Urban Decay, Naked on the Run. Urban Decay is well known for their famous Naked eye palettes range. But this magic box has more than just eye palette. It has all the basic make up that you need.

The box

Inside the box

What are in the set?

Eye shadows - 6 natural colours (Dive - metallic rose with golden micro-shimmer, Fix - soft taupe matte, Resist - medium metallic taupe, Dare - medium brown matte, Stun - metallic bronze with light gold micro-shimmer, and 5050 - cool bisque satin)
Bronzer - medium bronze matte
Blush - vibrant pink with light shimmer
Perversion Mascara - blackest black
24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil - Stag (deep brown satin)
Naked Lipgloss - Sesso (rose with pink shimmer)

Plus Factors

All-in-one! No more trouble in finding your make up in your handbag. The colours are suitable for all skin colours and can be used for any events (regardless day or night). I love the box because it has interesting colours.

Minus Factors

Although it's easy to carry because they are all together in a box, it's quite big if you want to put it in your handbag. Unless if you carry a big handbag. I think this one is more suitable if your are a frequent traveller where you just need to carry your make up easily in one box. It's not really practical if you want to carry the box to work.

Overall Review

I think this product is complete but less practical (due to the size). I think it's easier to put your make up in a make up pouch if you have trouble finding your make up in your bag. But, I still like it and I will definitely bring this if I have to go for courses or travel. I give 4.5 stars for this product.
