I'm Free!!!

Salam and hello dearies!

Alhamdulillah... I'm finally FREE!!! Free from my assignments. Now I can relax and enjoy my semester holiday. OMG, I just can't believe that I have finished my second sem. It's been a year already. Fuhhh... hopefully I can get the best result. Hehehe...

Hmm now that I have a lot of free time, I don't know what to do. Maybe I can post something interesting on my blog. Or maybe I can just lay around watching favourite movies and tv series. Hehehe... Whatever it is, I wanna enjoy my free time to the fullest (before I start my next sem). Huhuhu...

p/s ~ please pray for my success. I'm quite worried about my last sem papers. Huhuhu...

August Baby

Salam and hello dearies!

Well, I don't believe in astrology or zodiac but this is interesting. Most of the description above describe me pretty accurately. Except the hardworking and magnetic personality. It's totally untrue. I'm lazy a.f and my personality sucks. Hahaha... Seriously, I'm not a kind person.

But I agree with the follow your passion and the travelling one. My passion is to be free, free from rules. That's why I disobey any rules that I think I don't want to obey. Hehehe...

That's all for today. I don't really have any words to say.

When I'm Doing My Assignment

Salam and hello dearies!

This is a poem I want to dedicate to all of the students in the world. Hahaha...

When I'm Doing My Assignments

When I'm doing my assignments,
I can't just write and write and write,
I need to rest too
because my head might explode.

When I'm doing my assignments,
I have to read, write and read,
From journals to researches
till my brain explode.

When I'm doing my assignments,
My stomach growls like a lion,
My eyes turns lazy
and I think my head will implode.

When I'm doing my assignment,
I feel like screaming
out loud violently
and let my feelings out.

But when I have finished
all of my assignments,
I can feel the joy
overflowed.

Hanis' Tips: How to Stay Focus

Salam and hello dearies!

Doing assignments can be torturous and boring. Sometimes it is difficult to stay focus while doing the assignments. My assignments require me to write essays (usually each essay must at least have 10 to 15 pages) because well, I take a language course. To be honest, it is not an easy process. Though I can write quite well, writing an academic piece is totally different from writing freely like updating my blog. I need to do a lot of reading, literature reviews, thinking and well, it's tiring. That's why I sometimes struggle a lot during my writing processes.

So, in order for me to stay focus on my assignment, I have been using this technique since my secondary school year already. It works well to me and I think it may work to you too. So how do I stay focus? Here are the tips.

1. Listen to your favourite songs
Songs help you to feel entertain during the boring process. The key is to choose your favourite songs only. If you just listen to any random song, you mind will be conscious because you don't know the song. But if you already know the songs, you will pay less attention to the songs. Hehehe. There is no scientific research on this (maybe there is but I'm too lazy to do my Google research now). It's just my own theory. My personal preferences are My Chemical Romance, Within Temptation and any other rock songs.

I miss MCR so much (especially Gerard Way)

Seriously, their songs are wonderful...

2. Listen to your favourite movies
Well, other then songs, movies also work well. I love to listen to my favourite movies. Other than it can help me to stay focus, listening to movies can also help me to improve my listening skills. I can just listen to the conversations and storyline. No need to watch the movies. Hehehe... My favourite movies to listens are Mean Girls and Harry Potter movies. Harry Potter movies help me to learn the British pronunciation and accent too (plus, their accent is sexy!)

3. Close your eyes...
When you close your eyes, it helps you to release your stress and once you open your eyes, your sight will go straight to your work. Plus, closing your eyes helps you to think well. Hehehe. But, don't fall asleep when you close your eyes because when you open your eyes back, your assignment will not magically finished by magic fairies. Muahaha...

So, these are my favourite tips to stay focus. It may or may not work on you. But it will not hurt you if you try them. Hehehe... Maybe after you tried my tips, you will find your own way to stay focus. Who knows...

p/s ~ I'm currently listening to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie
pp/s ~ I will finish my assignment tonight! Amin...

Game of Thrones Season 5 Finale

Salam and hello dearies!

Are you a fan of Game of Thrones? I wasn't really following the series even though I like stories with costumes. Maybe because I didn't have a chance to watch the whole series until now. I just watched the first season. This series has a LOT of boobs, nude scenes and killing. Hehehe. No wonder it's a hype (just kidding - I know the plots are interesting).

So, last few days was the final episode for the Season 5. If you're a GoT die-hard-fan, you'll probably expect that one of the main characters will die at the end of every season. As expected, it happened too for this season. I'm not going to tell who died because I'm not a SPOILER (it was one of the favourite characters... jeng jeng jeng...) Hehehe... But the hilarious thing is the reactions from the fans while watching the scene. It was priceless.

Well, if my favourite character died in a series or movie, I would probably react like that too. Hahaha... Whatever it is, GoT is still good. I maybe start watching the whole seasons again (maybe after I finished doing my assignments... *sigh*)

p/s ~ When Gerard Way got married, I cried for days. HUAAAA...

Ben & Hafiz: The End

Salam and hello dearies!

I wanna share my experience calling the Fly FM morning crews, Ben and Hafiz. Every morning, I will tune to Fly FM while I drive to work. So there is this morning game calls The End - where they will give a snip of the end of a song. So the listeners need to guess the title of the song and the artist.

benhafiz

Usually I was not really trying to call because I've tried to call them and I never reached them. So once day, the gave the clues since it had been 4 weeks but no one guessed the song correctly. The clues at that moment was it does not have a featured artist, it's a love... love song and there is a letter 'o' in the singer's/band's name. At that point I heard Ben said 'the same direction'. So, I thought I got the artist already. I just need the song. Hehehe...

At night, I listened to all One Direction's love songs. Well, I thought 1D is the answer because it has the letter 'o' and has not featured artists. I was so confident that I can win the RM1350 at that moment. I listened to the songs and I finally chose a song. I was so confident at that time.

The next morning, I put my phone ready with the station's number and ready to call them. Right after I heard the cue to call, I immediately pushed the call button. At first the line was busy. I tried again and I heard the calling tone. I was so nervous but ready. Can you imagine me driving while holding my phone to answer the contest. Hahaha...

The suddenly, I heard Ben's voice. OMG! I finally did it. I managed to call them. Yahooo!!! I was so excited and couldn't wait to give my answer. So, they played the clip, though I wasn't really listening. When they asked what's the answer, I said " Story of My Life by One Direction" confidently. Then they played the clip and... well, it wasn't the end. Huaaaa!!!!

Though I didn't guess the correct song, I was so excited that when I arrived to my workplace with a big smile on my face. I was excited because I managed to call them. It was big actually because I had been trying to call a radio station (for other contests too) but couldn't go through. Hehehe.

Oh, I used to win an SMS contest from ERA FM in 2008, the fastest SMSer to SMS the pass code to win 4 movie tickets. I won 4 tickets to watch Iron Man 1 at Cineleisure Damansara. Unfortunately, I arrived 5 minutes late and the person who supposed to give the tickets just went back. I was so disappointed that I still haven't watch any Iron Man movies until now. Huhuhu...

So, today after almost 7 weeks, this one caller managed to guess the correct song and artist. The song was Nobody by Wonder Girls. OMG!!! Really! I'd never thought this song will be the answer. Arghhh!!!! She won RM2200. So sad. (T_T)... Whatever it is, I will try to win another The End contest. Tomorrow is the new The End. Hehehe.

A Tragedy, An Experience

Salam and hello dearies

Hi readers. OMG! It's been 3 months since my last post. Yes. As usual, I am a very busy person *winks*. Hehehe. My masters class has started last month and I'm in the mid term semester break. Fuhhh... But, next week I have my mid term test for my paper, Research Methodology 2. It's all about statistics!. The last time I learn about statistics during my final year of my degree. I'm so nervous because I may not have time to study. Plus I have an assignment to be submitted next week too. Huarggghhh!!!

Okay. I want to share a story about a tragedy that I may not forget for the rest of my life. I think it will haunt me for the rest of my life. It happened last month, on 27th March, 2015. I was on my way to UKM for my class. I was travelling with my sister. I was quite late at that time. My class supposed to start at 3 pm. I was driving quite fast, 140 km/h. On the PLUS highway, there were many road constructions that required us to switch lanes from 4 to 2.

I was driving when I noticed the signboard saying that 2 lanes will be closed. I started to slow down my car. At the time I was driving at 100 km/h. Then about 100 meter ahead, I saw this KLIA taxi in front of me started to hit the break. So, I pushed my break and I managed to stop about few inches from the taxi. My sister and I were so relieved because we didn't hit the taxi.

So, when I was about to press the pedal, suddenly I heard a crashing sound behind my back, with a slight jerk. I was so shocked and after a split second, another jerk to my car. OMG!!! I was hit by two cars!!! I was terrified, but I pull all of my strength and came out of my car. The car that hit my car was a Myvi and another car that hit that Myvi was a Wira. Gosh, I was so sad to see my car.

(T_T)

From the side view

Then a PLUS patrol came and asked me to drive to the closed lanes. He then interviewed me, asking me what happen. I just explained to the patrol about the taxi. Then the Myvi and Waja driver came to me and asked me why did I stop the car. I was so baffled to hear their questions. As if they were blaming me for the accident. I just explained to them with my controlled voice so that I will not sound guilty.

Since my car was not that bad, the patrol officer asked me to drive to the Nilai Police Station to file a report. I took the photos, then drove slowly, really slow about 20km/h just to ensure that my car will not fall off on my way to the police station. I was quite lucky that my car didn't need towing. The other cars definitely needed towing.

The Wira

I wasn't really familiar with the town that it took me about 30 minutes to find the station. There, the officer was like **** and asked me to go and photocopy my IC. Come on dude, can't you see that my car is wrecking like hell. I started to get annoyed with the situation. Luckily he wasn't the one who take my report. Thank God.

After I filed my report, then I went back. But I didn't want to use the highway because of the fast cars and lorries, so I just used the town road to my home. Then once again we lost because we missed the junction. It was the worst day that I've had so far this year. Finally I arrived home at 8 pm.

When we arrived, I told my dad about the incident. He was calmed when he heard the story. He just asked me why I didn't call him. Well, my phone was barred. Yes! On the same day.

The moral of the story, if you had an accident, don't panic. Keep calm and Insya Allah everything will run smoothly. The most important thing is to call your parents, husband, wife etc. I was lucky because my car didn't need to tow.

Where Are You, Mr. Darcy?

Salam and hello dearies!

I love to watch movies with historical or classical background, mostly movies that involve with a lot costumes. One of my favourite movies is Pride and Prejudice. I love to watch the 2005 version, starring by Kiera Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. I think this is the most romantic love story ever. It is modest, use body language to express love, unlike the modern movies.

I once read the novel, but the movie is also not bad. Mr. Darcy is definitely a romantic man to Elizabeth. I really like the way he does anything for her. Although at first he seems like a proud and arrogant man, he is actually a kind man. When he confesses his love to Elizabeth (the second time of course), I feel like he is talking to me. Muahaha... (dreaming!)

Every time I watch the movie, I imagine myself living in that world. Wearing the costumes, talking like them. Yeah, I'm weird. I know that. Hahaha... They are talking with manner. I can never get tired of the movie. I can watch it every day forever. That's how much I looovveeee the movie.

p/s ~ I wonder is there any Mr. Darcy in this modern world? If there is, come and see me. Hahaha...
pp/s ~ Matthew Macfayhen is the perfect Mr. Darcy. (melting...)

The Final Exam...

Salam and hello dearies!

I just finished my exam yesterday. Yahoo!!! I felt so relieved. I was happy because I managed to answer all of the questions. Though I'm not sure whether my answers are correct or not, as long as I can answer them, it still fine with me. It's not like I don't care about my exam. It's just I'm not a big fan of EXAM. I mentioned before that I prefer to do assignments. Hehehe...

Although I have finished my exam, I still have assignments to finish before my I can relax during this semester holiday. Then I can totally enjoying my holiday (not really, I still have to go to work). Before I end my ramble, here is a photo of my exam paper. Hehehe...

Wish Me Luck for My Exam Tomorrow...

Salam and hello dearies!

Tomorrow is my final exam for this semester. At this point I already feel nervous about it. I really don't like exam. I prefer do the assignments than taking an exam. Plus this is a statistics paper. I'm a language person, not Maths. Numbers and equations are not my best friend. Hmm... whatever it is, I have to suck it up and deal with it. I chose to further my study, so I'm going to finish it with flying colours. I will do my BEST! Insya Allah. Wish me luck, okay!

I'm going to master this subject... hehehe...

Hanis' Tips: How to Cope With Your Final Exam Stress?

Salam and hello dearies!

I have an exam this coming Saturday, which is my Research Methodology 2 paper. This paper basically about how to process the research data and it has A LOT of statistics terms, methods, equations and calculations. Gosh! The last time I did any Math calculations (the hard one, not the simple maths) was when I was in Form 5, which was 10 YEARS ago! OMG!!! Am I that OLD???

So, how do I cope with my exam stress?

1. Eat a lot
When I am stress, I tend to eat. From just snacking to heavy food, as long as I can munch something, I can feel happy. This actually not good for your health. Unless if u just eat fruits when you stress, then maybe it's a good thing. (No wonder I don't lose my weight... Hehehe...)

Magnum Ice Cream Brownie

Madam Kwan's cendol (this is extremely delicious!)

2. Do something crazy
Other than cramping and studying till my head explode (with knowledge of course), I will definitely do something crazy and unexpected. For example, go for karaoke. For the past two week I went for karaoke twice just to shout out loud, sing until my heart burst (with feelings, hehehe...) and just have fun. I think that is the easiest and maybe cheapest crazy thing to do. I can't shop now (because I have to save my money for my Korea trip).

3. Sleep...ZZzzZZzz...
When I have so my things to think, and the other tips are just not working anymore, I just go to sleep. I just shut down my brain and have a deep and calming sleep like a baby. This is actually the best tip of all. Not to forget the easiest and cheapest of all tips. Just lay on my bed and doze off. ZZzzZZ

"I can't study anymore..."

Whatever it is, it is important for you not too stress out because it can damage your brain and heart. Just chill out and live your life to the fullest. My dad always say that doing Master is for my own satisfaction, and for me to move further in my professional work. If I can't further anymore, just take a break. No need to worry so much. Hehehe...

p/s ~ This is just my personal tips. If you don't feel it's good for you, don't do it (a little reminder, k!)

My New Cat, Oppo Cat

Salam and hello dearies!

A few months back, my parents and sister went for a jog at a lake. After they finished jogging, right before they went back home, they found a kitten near the bridge. The kitten was dying, maybe because lack of food. They were looking for her mother or any other kittens but they found none. My dad doesn't like us to have a pet at home so the last time we had pet when I was very young (we had rabbits) and my sister's tortoises. But, after seeing her almost to die, my dad picked her and carry her home.

I didn't know about the kitten because I was working at that time. Just after I arrived, I saw this kitten lying under the chiku tree. She was so small and weak. Then my mum and sister toll me the story about where they found the kitten. We were quite excited that my dad allows us to have her. Hihihi... For days we were thinking about what we should call her. At that time my sister just bought a new phone, Oppo. So, I suggested to call her Oppo. My mum likes the name so much and my sister agreed. So, we call her Oppo.

Though she's not a siamese or persian or any other expensive looking cat, she is still the cutest to me. At first she was quite shy and very weak. Maybe because she is not used to her new environment. Now, she is the naughtiest cat ever. She runs everywhere, sleep everywhere and she once peed on my bed! I was so angry at the time, I didn't pet her. Whatever it is, I still love her. She's lovely and cheeky too. Now, I let her sleep in my room every night. Hehehe...

She was trying to eat

Still small and cute

Her favourite spot to sleep

Another favourite spot before she knocked the vase on the table

"You're doing assignment? Let me wait for you..."

"Nah, never mind. I'm sleepy..."

"You wanna selfie??? Nah... I don't!"

Sleeping again...

Whatever it is, I really love you Oppo. I hope you live longer and stay cheeky as always.

Perfume Review: Fame by Lady Gaga

Salam and hello dearies!

Since I'm in the mood of writing, let's continue with this review. Do you know Lady Gaga? Who doesn't. Well, if you don't know her, she's one of the unique Hollywood celebrities that I like. Yes, I like Lady Gaga. Her songs are fantastic, her styles are unique and she's one of the kind.

This perfume, Fame came out in 2012. What I like about this perfume is the unique shape of the bottle. The cap is like a claw clutching the bottle. It's unique and mysterious at the same time. Another thing that I like is the colour of the perfume. It's BLACK (my favourite colour). Although the fluid is black, don't be alarmed. It doesn't stain your cloth. Trust me.

The smell is surprising sweet and pleasant. If you love something sweet and SEXY, this is the perfume for you. It has the smell of honey, orchid, saffron, belladonna, jasmine, incense and peach. Since the smell is quite strong, it last quite longer than other perfume. Plus, the smell doesn't give me headache or make me feel dizzy at all.

Overall I give 5 stars for this perfume. I really LOVE it. I just finished my first 50ml bottle in less than 6 months. That means I really like the smell. You should try it. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Hehehe...

Planning for My Korea Trip

Salam and hello dearies!

OMG! It's been awhile since my last post. Regardless, I'm trying to release my stress right now. I have an assignment and an exam this coming Saturday. So... my head is dizzy right now. That's why I want to talk about something fun, like my future trip to KOREA!!! Yeay!

My friend, Azlin and I were planning this trip last week while we were cramping doing our assignments. Hahaha... Why I choose Korea? First because I USED to like K-Pop. Yes, used to, not anymore. But the main reason is because I like the place so much. The sceneries, cultures (traditional and modern), architectures and of cuz, the food. Hehehe...

We browsed some interesting locations and places that we should and Insya Allah will visit next year. The one that attract my interest the most is Everland. OMG, when I saw the pictures, I was breathless. I can't wait for this plan to come true. When I look at the roller-coaster, I can imagine myself shouting and screaming like crazy. I think it's better than Thorpe Park in London (sorry Thorpe Park!). Here are some of the pictures of the roller-coaster (courtesy of Yahoo Images)

 Breath taking (not literally!)

Can you hold your breath and scream? I don't think so...

Hold your pants dearies, I'm not finish yet. I also want to visit the palaces where their emperors used to live there. Why? Well maybe it's because of the story Rooftop Prince. Hehehe... I actually like their traditional costumes, Handbok. very demure and modest. I wanna wear it there (so I need to lose weight more... hehehe).

OMG, there are so many interesting places that I wish to see and visit and I wish I can write it here. But, since I'm super busy, I think I will write about it later. Or maybe after I visited those places (Insya Allah).

Oh before I forget, I want to offer anyone who is interested to join our trip (max 6 people), feel free to contact me. We will be backpacking around Korea (which I really love to do). I used to backpack around UK, Ireland and Turkey. However, the most important thing is you must be single and ladies. Hihihi. It will be difficult to have children during backpacking. Maybe not to you but yes it will be difficult for me. Hehehe... Feel free to drop your comment or contact me. I will discuss the itinerary to you later.
